THE VEHICLE FOR AFRICA'S DEVELOPMENT

The network is aimed at promoting, coordinating, and supporting Africa”s skill and apprenticeship agenda

Welcome to Sub – Saharan African Skills & Apprenticeship Stakeholders Network (SASASNET)

It is no secret that the African continent has been experiencing a shortage of skills in the most important sectors related to development and growth, such as science and technology, engineering, mathematics, advanced technologies, automation, artificial Intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology, 3D printing, and autonomous vehicles.
This reality has, at times, slowed down our journey towards sustainable, inclusive growth and development. But here, as the vehicle for Africa’s Development, we’re ready to change that narrative.

What we Offer

A pressing challenge looms over Sub-Saharan Africa: Empowering its youth with skills is crucial to prevent it from becoming the global poverty epicenter.

Partnership

Bring together the sub-Saharan African TVET policy makers, trainers, regulators, artisans, workers, industry and development partners for a dialogue on how to promote the skills and quality apprenticeship systems for the development of the continent.

Promotion

Advocate for increased enrolment of youth, including women and persons living with disability, in technical and vocational skills development.

Support

Increased support by governments and partners for the development of skills and apprenticeship systems in sub-Saharan Africa
